"By the hands of many a great load is lightened."
Roman proverb
We've received plenty of willing help this winter, thanks to Debbie and Stuart, Graham, Paul, Liam and Chay and we're still to welcome Russell and Laura, then Merle and Darrell.
When they go, we're entering our gite rental period and it's still too cold to put even intrepid volunteers in our yurt so, for the time being, we're not actively asking for volunteers.
That said, we're always open to proposals and you're welcome to contact us and we'll keep your details for when there is next an opportunity.
If green building interests you, we hope to restart our barn conversion soon, working with cob and wood and using strawbales and shredded newspapers for insulation. When that's done, we'll be looking to start on our straw bale house (but not before 2011). From about November this year, we'll again be looking for help in our 11 acre woodland and around the smallholding.
Have a look at our permaculture blog to read more of how we're getting on.
